A open source platform where the interactive application lets you manipulate the parameters to create different and interesting moving visuals. This allows the audience to engage and work from exisiting designs and patterns.

A set of 80 adapter bricks that reflect children’s building toys, they form and join together to create hybrid constructive pieces, which create new and original designs. This reflects the idea of manipulation and tranformation.

Final Project:
For my final project I was inspired by Kirsten Schmidt, I wanted to create a platform where image can be regenerated each time a user manipulates the image/pattern. The principle design is an arrangement of triangles forming a pattern. Each interface I have designed has a different shape to represent a basic image. Each time the image develops and rearranges, it creates a new shape/image based on the arrangement of the triangles. Having this as a free and open platform, users are able to manipulate or transform existing pattern.
SVG PATTERNS:
I created a set of patterns in Inkscape to visualise and explore and develope my idea through SVG patterns. I produced a set of tiles to represent the basic idea of image transformation and manipulation. I used primary colours to represent the simplicity of the design. I experimented with colour, line and shapes to create my design ideas.
INTIAL PAPER PROTOTYPES:

I experimented with different paper and paper colours to develop my ideas for my final outcome and presentation.

FINAL POSTERS: CREATE.CHANGE.COLLABORATE
For my final developments, I created a set of 3 main design outcomes. The series of designs set a clear, simple and refined style that reinforces my ideas. I produced these designs using Inkscape. I used the line tool to generate the outlines, in addition to changing the stroke weight, colour, and corner shape.
In my final developments, I used layers to separate the individual triangles to rearrange and move the object more easily. I used the line tool to outline the shapes on each triangle individually to create the overall shape, suggesting a simple geometric design. The use of the bright, almost neon like colours of green, pink and blue create eye-catchy visuals which are contrasted against the grey triangles. I wanted to create a refined and stylized design. I decided to use different shape sizes for the traingles to create a more dynamic visual as well as creating movement.
For my final outcome, I produced a set of posters to reflect my design idea. I used scale and space to experiment with the layout and composition. I also explored placement of the text. I wanted to keep the text small to emphasise the main design. The use of scale and cropping portrays an appealing and bold design as well as creating a dynamic sense. I used a subtle colour for the background to lift the design and bring to attention. I used a sans serif font to set a clear and simple font style and reflect the overall design.

Below, I also produced finals, which depict the whole design as it shows the development of image manipulation. Labeled Sketch one, two and three.
